So much changing

It hasn't been that long since I updated but so much is changing, I thought I would journal it. It seems like the babies are learning to do more and are developing more every day.

Three's a crowd in this ice bucket! I think this will be my 7 month picture prop.

My big girl standing so strong! (Whitney)

Tyler learned how to roll over from back to front. Whitney is learning to spit like Hannah! Yay! Hannah and Whitney are now squealing an octave or two higher and Lacy is less than thrilled! Ha! Tyler is sitting up better - he is getting so close to being able to sit independently. They like to reach for Lacy and are becoming much more aware of her and each other. Tyler often laughs at his sisters. They are reaching more and more at anything within reach (bottles, books, our glasses, plates etc.)

Hannah and Lacy are bonding...awww...

Solids are going well. The babies have now had green beans, rice cereal, oatmeal cereal. I've been doing my research and reading up on making their baby food! This video was taken the first time they tried green beans a few weeks ago. Their facial expressions are priceless!

Yummy rice cereal
Yummy green beans

They have started sleeping less at night and napping less during the day. Now they wake up around 5:30 or 6 am. Luckily, they can entertain themselves in their cribs for a while and aren't interested in eating first thing after waking up. They have practically dropped their last nap of the day. Sometimes they need a 30 minute catnap before the last feeding of the day, but sometimes not. Needless to say my "down time" has decreased even more.
Until next time...

5 Months old already!

Please note, there is a post below this one, so scroll down to see it.

Hannah is SUCH a happy baby! She even gets mad when she is being forced to take her bottle. She wakes up SO happy every morning and could just play and play in her crib for who knows how long if I didn't get her out to feed her. Hannah is so hooked on her fingers - she loves to suck on them when she doesn't have her paci and she tries to put everything in her mouth if it gets in the near vicinity of her mouth. If I tickle her cheeks, she opens her mouth real wide; if I wipe her mouth with a burp cloth or her bib, she opens her mouth real wide. So cute!

Tyler is getting stronger and getting better and better at sitting up. He told me he wanted to take his 5 month picture sitting up to show off what a big boy he is. Can you guess what Tyler is doing in the second picture???? You got it....he is looking at the TV. That boy...loves to watch the TV. Tyler is in the habit of waking up after only napping for 30 minutes - 1 hour. It is making nap time miserable these days. I've had to separate him and Whitney because they always wake each other up. Also, I think Tyler is already starting to have separation anxiety. He cries when I leave the room or walk away from him where he can't see me. It is sweet, but boy is it going to be difficult when all three of them are doing this.

Whitney is presently enjoying her baths. I don't know what happened but it was like I flipped the light switch and she became more happy and content overnight. Speaking of water, we took the babies to the pool for the first time last weekend and surprisingly, they enjoyed it, even Tyler and he HATES his baths. They were so cute floating around in their floats. Sorry, no pictures - I will have to get some next time. It was so much fun to take them to the pool and be out of the house doing something different.

Current weights:

Tyler weighs around 14 pounds
Hannah around 12 pounds
Whitney around 11 3/4 pounds

They are STILL in their 0-3 month clothes! Tyler is about to be too big for his so we will have to move him to the next size, but the girls still have a little bit to go.

A new feeding and sleeping schedule

WE DID IT!!!! We are now feeding every 4 hours and sleeping 12 hours at night! We probably could have switched their 10 hour sleeping schedule to 12 hours a long time ago, but we didn't think they were quite ready to drop another feeding yet, so we waited. They did really well yesterday eating every 4 hours and taking in more at a time. That last nap was rough, with them waking up early and being fussy, but other than that, they did fine.

Hannah woke up before 8 this morning, but she was just as happy and content as she could be talking and squealing in her bed before breakfast. Whitney woke up about 30 minutes early fussing but was fine waiting until 8 to eat and Tyler just kept sleeping...we had to wake him up.

It was SO nice to be able to go to bed at a reasonable time last night! I am actually starting to feel normal again!

Well overdue for some updated pics

I posted an update earlier today so be sure and scroll down and read it if you haven't already seen it.

This was last Sunday - Father's Day when our AC went out. I stripped the kids down to their diapers. Hannah didn't seem to mind.
Tyler likes to use his nap time as tummy time these days... He is getting so curious. He will just wake up early from a nap, and start looking around and then go back to sleep a few minutes later.
Another one of Hannah's latest things is putting one hand on the back of her head while she sucks on her fingers or paci.
This is Jan...one of my sweet, giving helpers. I need to get pictures of my other helpers too!
I just found Hannah like this today. Somehow she turned over and managed to put this burp cloth on her head. Nice hat, Hannah!
Whitney just sleeping away in the boppy.
Bumbo time! We now have one for each of them so they can play together in them. Thanks Marcy! They are getting good at sitting up in them.
Whitney is saying, "Moooommmm....She's touching me..."
Tyler - justa swingin....
The "A" gang at the Father's Day celebration. That's a lot of people...

Isn't Lacy so cute?! She loves to find herself a little cubby hole to hang out in.
Awww... so cute. Lacy and Tyler playing. Funny story... Lacy actually does try to get the babies to play with her. She doesn't understand that they can't play with her yet. It seems like she does it the most when I take the babies outside. Like today, we went outside and Lacy brings her favorite toy to them and drops it in their bouncer.

Whitney is justa chillin'
Daddy and Tyler catching a nap...well, tyler is but Daddy is playing.
Mama and Hannah taking a nap...well Hannah is, Mama is just playing.
Hope you enjoy!
