New Years Eve Wedding

My friend Carrie got married on New Years Eve and her wedding was so elegant and beautiful The reception included a delicious meal, wedding cake, a live band and dance floor! So much fun! We were so glad to be a part of her special day and also to be able to ring in the new year with our very good friends, Amy and Chris.

Craig making his goofy face before the wedding started.
Wedding is over and now we are having cocktails and hor dourves before dinner.

Cute groom's cake
Eating the flower that came with the gelato... supposed to 'cleanse the palette'. They told us to eat it so I did... I think I was the only one to eat it.

Here we are at the wedding luncheon the day after the wedding.

Christmas 2010

There were so many Christmas pictures and celebrations, for the sake of time, I only posted a few from our immediate family Christmas at home.

We had a nice Christmas starting with hosting Craig's extended family Christmas at our house; the next celebration was Craig's family Christmas at my inlaw's house; next was my family Christmas again at our house and lastly was our immediate family Christmas at our house.

My mom stayed with us for a few days thru the holidays and we enjoyed having her. Craig's parents came by for a while on Christmas day and also my good friend Amy and her husband Chris came by on the 26th. It was a nice, low-key Christmas day and weekend and enjoyed visiting with our family and friends.

Taken a week or two before Christmas.

Christmas morning pictures...

Watching a Christmas movie with grandma.

Walking back to our spot after playing with daddy in the grass, before the parade started.

Silly boys!
Waiting for the parade to start.

The amazingly huge high school band!

Poor Tyler fell on the street curb and scratched up his face. Poor guy...

First Gingerbread Experience

I think I have assisted with a gingerbread house once before in all my life so this was a first for me and the kids. It was a fun experience but boy was it challenging to make the icing last and that fondant was a chore! lol

I just LOVE Whitney's big smile!
LOVE this one!
Getting bored... in this time-consuming tradition.
A classic Hannah expression...
Tyler hamming it up as always...
The finished product... Not as pretty as the pic on the box but oh well.

Halloween 2010

We went trick or treating in our neighborhood again this year. I have always liked doing it old school and taking the kids door to door rather than to busy, crowded festivals. There is just something about taking your kids trick or treating the way we did as kids, that I find to be a very neat experience.

All dressed and ready to go!
Getting excited... about getting lots of Halloween candy and the Texas Rangers World Series Game Four!

Our first stop... our neighbor's house.
My neighbor is a real fireman and he dressed up in his fireman gear to take his kids trick or treating so I just had to take Tyler's picture with him.
Back home from trick or treating now we are passing out candy to all the kids and of course having a little candy of our own.
Tyler and Whitney really enjoyed passing out candy to the others. I was so proud of them. Hannah, on the other hand, refused to pass out any candy. Ha!
