Belated Easter egg hunt

All the kids were sick for Easter so the kids stayed home and Craig and I took turns going to church separately. So, needless to say, the Easter egg hunts were put on hold. We were finally well enough this past Sunday to have an egg hunt.

Getting started... Tyler didn't want to part ways with his bunny.
Hannah got her hands on Tyler's basket too.

Miss Whitney getting started...

Figuring out the object to pick up the eggs and put them in the baskets.

They didn't want to search for more eggs at first. They wanted to go play with their one egg...

Then, once they discovered there were eggs all over the yard, they were excited, well except for Whitney. She would go toward an egg to pick it up and then just walk away without picking it up.

They didn't want to open their eggs to see what was inside at first. They just wanted to carry around the eggs in their baskets but once we started opening them, they were excited to see what was inside but couldn't care less about the goodies inside. They just wanted to play with the eggs.

Spring blooms at the Arboretum

Craig and I took the babies to the Dallas Arboretum yesterday. I had gone a couple of times last Fall but the babies were so young, they didn't really get to experience it much. This time, we unloaded and let them run around some in an open grassy area. They chased the birds, squirrels and picked a few flowers (oops).

Hannah is exploring away.
Whitney not happy that I sat her down.
Hannah is not scared. Checking out the flowers.
Checking out more flowers.
Tyler found a stick.
What'cha looking at Tyler? So funny!
Mommy and her litter!
This squirrel looks like it was nibbling in Whitney's ear.
Tyler having a ball running everywhere.
Checking out the water fall.
Getting a little hot but still all smiles.
They were SO tired, Whitney started leaning into the side of the stroller and her eyes were drifting; Hannah was sucking her finger.

We also ran into another couple with triplets. As we approached each other, we noticed they had triplets and vice versa. It only took a second to realize we actually know them! They were a couple that we took the hospital CPR/birthing classes with. What a nice couple they are! It was so nice to talk to them again. The last time we saw them was in the NICU. She delivered her babies (two boys and one girl) a week before me, also at 34 weeks, and we both delivered about 14 pounds of baby! I just love running into other MOM's (mom's of multiples), especially mom's of HOM's (high order multiples). We share a connection like no other!!

Look at how big and tall their trio is compared to ours and they are only a week older than my crew.

Easter Weekend

The babies had their first Easter Egg hunt this year. We got together with some friends the weekend before Easter which turned out perfectly since the weather was so yukky on Easter weekend. The babies were still not sure about grass so they didn't do much in the way of picking up Easter eggs so I had to carry them around and put them in their baskets for them. They still enjoyed the experience and we had a great time!

Let the egg hunt begin!
Hannah and I were twinkies.

We braved the weather and managed to make it to church Easter Sunday - the first time since Craig's surgery and the first time the babies have been since last Fall. They did great in the nursery for an hour, not sure how they will do for 2 hours. I was so busy getting everybody fed, dressed, loaded, unloaded, loaded and unloaded in and out of the car, undressed, fed and put down - I forgot to take our picture for Easter. We enjoyed being able to get back to church.

Spring Fever!

A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine gave me this hand-me-down triple jogging stroller and we have enjoyed taking it on several walks since then. The babies have more leg room, they all have a better view and it is much easier for me to push. The weather has been so nice and we have really enjoyed getting out more. I just wish this wide load would fit through more doors and be easier to maneuver in stores etc. With the weather getting nicer, I am starting to get out on a pretty regular basis.

Me and the trio went to the mall with a friend last week and had a great time. We ate lunch in the food court and had several people comment about how well behaved they are which made Mommy feel good! Then, we walked around and shopped some and the babies did really well. Oh and I got stuck in the elevator a couple of times - that long triple stroller is so long, I got wedged in the elevator a couple of times and had to have my friend help me get out. She was my elevator helper and door holder opener during our outing. :) I guess there is no way to get around the "easy maneuvering" whether I have an extra long stroller or an extra wide stroller.

Malls seem to be easier for me because I don't have to load and unload the babies in and out of the car numerous times to go to different stores. So, I am going to venture to a different mall with another friend later this week - hopefully the day will be just as fun as the last trip to the mall. Oh... and if my memory serves me correctly, this was their first "real" trip to the mall. They have been before but we just ran in to Sears or JC Penney to look for one thing, then left. Can you believe that? They are over a year old and just now went on their first shopping trip!
