We put our house officially on the market around 5pm today. About 6pm, I got a call from my agent. There is a potential buyer that is about to put a contract on another house but their agent just saw our house pop up on MLS and thought it sounded like what her clients were looking for. She wanted to show them this house before putting the contract on the other one. So, they came over around 7:30 and by 8:30 we had a contract! And the funny thing is, the buyer is the brother of our next door neighbor. So, they not only love the house, but they love the location! I totally predicted this could very well happen. They want to close in about two weeks because they are going out of town but want to move in when they return. They are willing to do a lease back situation for the month of July to give us time to find something and get moved in. Please pray that this will work out as we haven't accepted their offer yet and will probably be doing some countering. This will be such a load off to not have to grin and bear it through a million showings with three babies and toys galore! We are SO excited!

The buyers accepted our counter offer so we are officially under contract. They want to close very quickly (2 weeks) and have that done before they leave town for several weeks. They want to move in after they return so they have agreed to do a lease back to us on a daily per diem but we have to be out by July 31st. This is perfect, it gets our house sold so we can go ahead and start looking and still not have to be out for 6 weeks. Now we just need to pray that their financing will come through, although, they don't foresee any problems and we will be set. Now we need to start doing some serious house hunting.

Oh Amy, I'm SOOOOO excited for you!!! How awesome it is when we can see the Lord's hand working in our lives, isn't it?? Oh, I pray this contract will go through, & that you'll be able to find the PERFECT house for your precious family!! How I wish I could go with you to "house-hunt" like we used to do ~ but I have my hands (& arms!!) full these days with my precious Piper & my sweet Andrea, who is under tremendous stress, so my days are very full. Please keep me posted on what happens & what you find!! Can't wait to hear!!! Oooh, let me know if you'd like some help decorating, when the time comes ~ what fun that would be!!!
