Successful get away weekend

Well, we had a great time at the lake this weekend. Craig very much needed the weekend off and the chance to get away for a weekend. Granted we didn't get down there until Saturday afternoon because Craig worked until 9p.m. Friday night. It was just too late to head to Gun Barrel City at that time of night. Its about a 2 hour drive from our house. One night was still ample amount of time away from my own bed. We had a really good time playing on the jet ski and riding in the boat. We had a nice cook out Saturday night and then we were off to bed. No staying up late for us! We are feeling pretty old these days...

Our dog Lacy loved it. She spent the entire weekend chasing the waves that splashed up at the edge of the back yard. She loves the water, but I learned that she doesn't like the deep water as much as the shallow water. We took her out in the boat with us and she did great. She loved it, but she didn't care too much for her new life jacket or the deep waters. It was very entertaining to watch her swim and splash in the water.
