These past couple of days, I have had the urge to urinate frequently. I don't know if it is from the hormones and increased blood flow (my heart is working and beating hard) or if the babies are getting big enough to put pressure on my bladder. At my last appointment, they said the babies each weigh 3 ounces, which is a lot more than what my books says they should weigh at this time. So, maybe it is the babies putting pressure on my bladder. I know excessive urination is normal and can start very early in a pregnancy, but I never really had that symptom. It is already getting more difficult to get up frequently, I can't imagine what it will be like when I am really big.
I am 14 weeks now and I am seeing a little more growth in my belly. The growth seems to have slowed over the past several weeks, but I can still tell it is growing. I put on some of my maternity capris I bought early in the last pregnancy and they were very snug. It may not look any different to you, but I definitely can feel it.
My comfy chair came in and boy is it yellow! I like it, but it is very bold. I think maybe a chair with a less subtle pattern and multi colors might have been a better choice (kinda like the pillow pattern and colors). Although, all they really had to choose from was solids... Craig said we no longer need to use the lights in the living room... The chair is bright enough to light up the room. It does go well with our furniture and it flows throughout the great room nicely.
We still haven't ordered a dresser or anything for the nursery. I am not sure when we will be able to do that. Craig is working all weekend again. My aunt is giving me my cousin's changing table. It is white...hopefully we can get the finish off and stain it to match everything else. We weren't going to buy a changing table, but since they offered it to us, we thought why not.
Our cribs should be coming in pretty soon. A couple more weeks and they will be here. I hope we have the nursery painted by then because you know me, I will be ready to put the cribs together as soon as we get them.
I am just taking it easy for a couple more days and then I am going to try to get back to my to do list. These past few days I have spent a lot of time at home and it has given me the chance to go through paper work and do a little reading. I don't know what I am going to do when I go on strict bedrest for an extended period of time. Just "slowing down" for a few days has been real difficult for me.
I found your website - I have a question!

Hi! Sounds like things are going well and you guys are really getting things ready. Its so fun to plan and pick things out, but be careful!! I felt so good after about week 14 that I just kept going like normal, working and being out and about. I really didn't realize how serious you need to be about making yourself rest..........until I landed in the hospital for the first time at 16 weeks with contractions......and I should have known better, I am a NICU nurse!! :) I know that everyones body is different, but just be careful. Its so hard to lay low when you feel so good and have so much to do, but remember it really is just a short time and soooooo worth it.
More than likely they will have a little time in the NICU and you can finish some of those last minute things then too.
